As you enter the building, RID's admissions office is straight ahead.
Just come on in. The receptionist will give you
a quick survey form to fill out and some free
recording magazines to look over while you are
waiting for your tour to begin. |

First stop with be our Associate Engineer/Producer Control Room. This facility is used during
Recording Techniques 1 courses and for students recording during "lab time" between classes.
It features a Yamaha 02R console, Pro Tools and
CuBase/Nuendo software. |

When you first see the Music Production Control Room you may encounter a student using the facility to produce that "first hit."
It
features the 02R Console, Pro Tools, Stienberg
and other software, as well as MIDI production
instrumentation. It has a two isolation booths
adjoining it. This facility is used for the
Music Production courses and for lab time. |

All
lectures for the Associate Recording
Engineer/Producer Program are held in the
"Golden Section" studio room, seating 12
students comfortably.
During sessions, the chairs are folded up and
musicians set up for the session. The
studio can be used by the Associate Recording
Control Room or the Music Producer Control Room.

RID's Computer Lab Room
has a capacity of 10 students.
It features 10 identical stations with ProTools,
CuBase/Nuendo, WaveLab, SoundForge and other
programs with a variety of plugins for mixing
and mastering. The instructor demonstration
setup can be viewed on a large screen TV. |

Finally you'll see the Large Format Control Room used in RID's Recording Engineer Program.
It
features an SSL console and Pro Tools HD, as
well as 24 track analog recording.
This facitlity is used in our Recording
Engineer/Producer - Advanced Recording course.
