RID NEWS

GENERATIONS OF HIGH TECH TRAINING

Greg Ondo, Field Marketing Manager Steinberg North America, was recently at RID, updating us  on the newest Steinberg software features and getting updated on our training program.  Greg took this picture of RID's founder and his son, Daniel.
Bob Dennis, the founder, regularly interfaces with softwear developers and industry pros, making suggestions on improving mastering software.
Dan Dennis gets to supervise the training delivery of RID.  Dan's first recording session was when he was 8 years old. Starting at 18, he worked for 7 years in LA as a pro sound technician for live venues with audiences of 300-3000.  He did front of house mixing plus setup design and supervision.  He has been with RID since 1990 .
According to Greg Ondo, "The school has been in business since 1975 and has many graduates go onto great projects.  They serve as a great source of information for a new beginner or a seasoned pro."

The Recording Institute of Detroit
is now in it's 39th year.  It has thousands of successful graduates working with top artists on national hit recordings

FALL 2013 FEATURED GRAD
HELPING BEATS BY DRE

After graduating the RID Recording Engineering program in 2006,
Erik Ladendorf interned at area studios.  This led to a job at Guitar Center where he quickly advanced to the position of Assistant Store Manager.  About a year ago he joined Beats by Dre.  Eric says, "Working for Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre is a dream come true for me, I work with high end audio equipment, and interact directly with people on a daily basis"

In June Eric was promoted to the Beats Elite Training Team representing the company worldwide.  This month Eric held a training session for his company at the RID facilities and is an avid promoter of the RID training that gave him his start.
